Eilean Righ is an island northwest of Jura, near the homeland of the Campbells of Argyll, one of the most powerful Gaelic clans, in the service of the Kings of Scotland rather than the Lords of the Isles. It has no civilian population, instead being the site of two Iron Age forts which are (as in, may have been) occupied periodically by the fighting men of the local tacksmen in times of war.
