Scots

The Scots are the people from the formerly Gaelic kingdom that was known as Alba, and are the Anglicised feudal ethnic Gaels (as well as Saxon and Norman immigrants) who attempted to turn the whole of Alba, inclusive of the Highlands and Islands, into a feudal European power, much to the derision of the conservative Gaelic kings such as Somerled of Argyll and Fergus of Galloway, and impoverished themselves as a result (at least, that was what happened after they overhauled society and took away the barter system that had been perfectly fine for them and continued to work for the Lordship of the Isles for the next few hundred years, and found out they had nothing to make money with).

In the Lordship of the Isles, they are a disillusioned people, aliens in a foreign land. They have their own communities where they speak in Scots and English, usually managed by a Gaelic tacksman in lands that were gifted to or taken by the armies of the Macdonald dynasty.
